Knoxfield were 3/45 against The Basin when Trentin Scholfield(102) and Luke Scanlan(89) joined forces in the middle of Batterham Park. The pair guided the Knights to 3/230 in the 70th over before late wickets saw Knoxfield finish the day on 246 in the 77th over. For the Bears, Scott Vozzo took 3/61 off his 19 overs, although it was Josh Lee with 4/29 off 8 that closed out the innings. The Basin will need to bat at their best but this game could go either way.
 

The Magpies Johnathon Levell is in vintage form, with 2 centuries and 350 runs for the season, as he uncorked another fine 138. Belgrave finished the day at 5/330 at home against Mountain Gate. Dinusha Fernando (54), Simon Hill (52), and Chris Paul (49) all made it a long day for the ‘Gators bowlers. Belgrave still have a mountain of work to do with the ball, but may have the edge in the battle of 3rd and 4th.

 

Batting on the new deck at Fairpark Reserve Upwey were bowled out for 162 against Johnson Park. Mitchell Hewitt stood tall for the Tigers with 44 while Ben Stallworthy snared 3 late wickets for the Sharks. Whoever wins this game will need to grind out the victory.

 

Ben Morris (92) made the bulk of the runs for Eildon Park against Ferntree Gully whilst Bryce Galvin (5/66) and Ryan Handley (3/30) are battling it out for leading wicket taker in Norm Reeves shield. Ferntree Gully’s form should see them home.

 

Monbulk were dismissed for 168 by Knox Gardens at Argyle way. Hawks skipper Shane Cosstick led the way with 69 assisted by Brodie Emmet while Shannon Small took 3/25. The Falcons may be more comfortable chasing but the Hawks do have the bowlers who can starve teams of runs.
